Award winning Damp Pie

Over the weekend, I entered into a small community pie competition and won first place in the savory category. Anecdotally, my ‘Dave’s Damp Pie’ also won the ‘least appealing name’ category.
The concept was making a steamed soup dumpling pie, with layered dumpling wrapper instead of crust. It was very easy and good enough to add to a regular rotation.
If you’d like to give it a try, I followed this recipe, but with about double the garlic and ginger. I also steamed it for about 35 minutes. Pretty good!
